OH NO YOU DIDN'T...................

Have you ever felt like this....?honestly I really don't know what's wrong with me but WATCH OUT, BECAUSE I DO BITE!!!! Yeoooow, I am so crabby today....I had all I could do not to hang up on patients calling about their bills, bills they owe, bills they might owe, statements saying "THIS IS NOT A BILL" but they wanted to discuss anyway, people I am a loaded weapon and I'm ready to go OFF STOP CALLING ME ~ I do not care about your darn bill!



After every call, I wanted to bang my head with the receiver!

Then on the way home (7:15pm, I leave my house at 6:20am grrrr) I stopped to pick up salads, when I got mine out of the bag the lettuce was all brown ~ booooohooooboooohooo wahhhhhhhhh! I had ginger snaps for dinner YAYYYYYYY!

So that's it in a nut shell, I'm ready for bed oh but wait!!!!! Mr. P is still asleep.

I'm not really sure Where IT IS, but as long as it's warm I'm going to be there!!! Can you tell that it's just to cold here for me????? My legs ached all day, I wore my fingerless gloves & scarf and drank WAY MORE COFFEE than I should have!!!! This cold weather just takes it's toll....I want to be on a warm sunny beach with one of these in my hand....

Naha Okinawa, Japan....very pretty. They went for an overnight during the Columbus Day holiday, there is a very big festival held in Naha every year on that weekend...he got to see the Great Naha Tug-O-War. He does have pictures we got to see them via AIM web cam but when I went to save them we got disconnected...he is supposed to download all of his cameras to discs and send home to us ~ Ladies, I'm not going to hold my breath so don't you hold yours either!

A Few Things I Am Going To Work On In 2010....

I don't think that we should make resolutions because let's face it they are "unrealistic"......I think that if you know there is a problem then you should address it right then and there and take the necessary steps to correct the situation! So this year I am going to work on "self improvement"....Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted, LOL.

Now You See It & Now You don't..............

Yes, dear friends it's true Christmas is officially over here at the Platt house and I have to say that this year I was not sorry to see it go. I have been working non-stop since 8:15am this morning, UGHHHHHH! I've packed, put away, dragged the tree out to the back, dusted, swept, made a pot of vegetable beef soup, did laundry, steamed my floors, ironed clothes.....Oi, I need a nap, LOL! But, now it's done and just a memory until next year!

We didn't have our slumber party last night, we're not sure what happened all we know is that Lex didn't come :( oh well, maybe next time.

We did however, go to my mother's Nikky & Mike came with us, it was a nice visit. Then we stopped in back at Nikky & Mike's to check out the new Wii Fit...OH MY I HAD A BLAST....it was so fun, Mike is really good at it & Nikky was so cute doing the hoola hoop and jogging....I'm thinking I might get one for our house, it is going to be shown tonight on QVC so I think I'll check it out. Of course I'll have to consult Nik & Mike before making a purchase, HEHEHE!

Yawnnnnnnnnnnn............

Oh my, I am soooooo tired! Christmas Eve was fun but busy, when your the hostess you don't get a lot of free time to sit and chat! It was probably better that was keep busy....

Billy called us early in the morning to let us know that he'd be calling back when everyone was at the house....that second call just broke my heart because it was Christmas morning for him and he sounded so sad. They all slept in one room eight Marines in sleeping bags scattered around their little tree, all decorated complete with gifts for each other and from home & their stockings were filled. They took care of one another. Billy ran back to his to his room to get his camera and to give us a call, he promised pictures so as soon as he gets them to us I'll share with you. He let me know that he wore his Christmas PJs that we sent to him & that he went to Church, such a good boy! He called again yesterday morning to chat with Mr. P & me, he is just so sweet!

Well, I'm not going to lie to you...I love Christmas but I am glad it's over! It was very different this year...we had a nice quiet day yesterday just the two of us! We needed that, today Nikky & Mike are going to meet us at my mothers house so that we can spend some time with her & then this afternoon Herself The Elf is coming to spend the night ~ I better get a nap in before she gets here :).....

The only thing missing will be my Billy, it's officially Christmas Eve in Okinawa ~ 10:36 am as I type. I miss him with all my heart, but I know that he is just doing his job & I hope that he will be calling us at some point!

Wrapping...Wrapping...& Yes, More Wrapping!

I'm usually not this last minute but this year Oi.....I need somebody to light a fire under me!

I've been wrapping all afternoon, well I took a little break...see below!





This little mischief maker came by for a visit, so everything came to a halt so WE COULD PLAY!!! Play we did, with everything....toys, tins, pots & pans, my Hallmark Snowman & Pup from my sweet baby boy, you squeeze his had and they sing and dance & the pup wiggles his tail & "antlers" ~ that kept Lex occupied for a good 30 minutes. I cooked her some lunch and then I made a cup of tea for me & well when she saw mine she wanted some too, so she got decaf, LOL! I taught her how to dunk Ginger Snaps! She loved it ( no pics, there was way toooo much tea being spilled everywhere! :)~ she tried on her fancy little shoes for Christmas Eve, Loved them and wore them all afternoon!

So now it's back to wrapping and tomorrow shop for Christmas Eve gathering...Lots of pics I promise!

Marine Moms.......

Sometimes in life you meet a few people that just touch you & you know that they know exactly how you are feeling & will just pick up the phone and call to say "I love ya", they are like rare and precious gems.....CindyLou happens to be one of those rare gems, do ya'll know Ms. CindyLou??? I bet you do!!! Then there's Leah and of course where ever Leah goes you're sure to find a "Bug" too, they called me Saturday morning & Ms. Leah was just bawling her eyes out at first I thought something was wrong ~ they had just watched Billy's Holiday Greeting & Leah was beside herself, we had a good laugh :) and then there's Glenn, & Lisa ~ you get it. It's true you know once your son steps through those doors you become family, through thick & thin! I love these ladies, they are all such strong beautiful women!

her son Ryan was one of Billy's boot camp buddies. They were 2nd & 3rd Squad Leader, this is a picture of the two of them getting ready to run the obstacle course during Boot Camp (shortly after arriving @ Parris Island)



Ryan is to the left, Billy is to the right looking up with that oh "Sugar Honey Ice Tea" look in his eyes, LOL!

The night this picture was loaded by the SDIs wife we both "jumped" on it and figured out each other's YUKU names and started chatting & then exchanged phone numbers and just hit it off from there! Billy & Ryan were together during MCT & MOS school too, Ryan is deploying at the end of January :/



Donna saw these little sweetie pies and had one made for me, Pass The Bounty PLEASE!

Anyway, I just though I'd share this with all of you tonight!
