Insomnia....................
I suffer from terrible insomnia.....I can fall asleep most nights fairly easily but wake up at the slightest sound or movement and then I STAY AWAKE ~ GRRRRRRR!
I think I have been awake since last Thursday, seriously...sleep for an hour awake for 3 or 4 hours....EVERY NIGHT....
This is how I feel every day at about 1:30 in the afternoon ~ not good because I am at work at this time!!!!!!!!!!!
I have tried everything, so I am open to suggestions ~ PLEASE!!
Well, I'm off to try to get a few winks in before I start my nightly wall climbing :)
Until tomorrow, Be Safe & God Bless!!!
Please continue to keep Justin, Justin, Ryan, Blake and all of our Marines & Military in your prayers!!!!

Lynda,
ReplyDeletePoor you! I can't go to sleep unless the air filter machine in our room is on. Kurt likes to sleep with it too, so we're good. The house is TOO quiet without it, now that I'm used to it... and my daughter's room is over our room, so I can hear her making noise if I don't have the white noise to drown out her noise, and I can hear a dog snuffing or snorting down by the bed, or noise out in the kitchen if someone is UP LATE, like a certain teenager.!!! (and there are 3 doors that can be shut between our master and the kitchen. Grief!
Have you ever tried a vaporizer or clean air machine, etc., running in your room at night to shut out the other little noises in the house? Just a suggestion. I don't like to wear earplugs...so this was my answer. Hope you sleep tonight. :-)
I wake up very easily and do have trouble going back to sleep, but not to that extreme. My Mom has a hard time sleeping, too. We both sleep with a fan for noise beside our beds (we even travel with it). That helps. Find some of the natural sleep items, like soothing tea. Heck, I might even try the kids nightime bath! It has lavendar and is supposed to soothe! Supposedly works for the babes! Hope it gets better. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I don't have much to offer on this subject. I also have insomnia sometimes and it is so miserable. I have bought this sleep balm called Badger Balm. You rub it on your face before bedtime. Here's the link http://www.badgerbalm.com/pc-393-2-sleep-balm.aspx It seems to work sometimes, if the insomnia isn't terrible. You might give it a try. I'm sure you've tried the yoga-type breathing. That helps me sometimes, too. Of course, you know to lay off the caffeine. We also sleep with an artificial noisemaker, a/k/a the fan. My hubby has to have some noise. That's about all I have to offer. I always blame my insomnia on my hormones, which are always screwed up in some way. Hope you get some good sleep soon. You won't be able to go camping unless you do. Hey, there you go. An excuse!!!
