Old Movies.......

I love old movies, this is one of my favorite....



We were up and out early just running our regular Saturday errands and trying to beat the Panicked Crowd ~ ooooooopppppssssss!!!!! 7:30am was toooo late to beat the crowd every crack-pot from here to Cape Cod and back happened to be out early too, GRRRRRRR!!!

Well, we fought off the crowds did what we needed to do and got home relatively unscathed, LOL!!! Mr. P needed to take a double dose of his blood pressure medication after this mornings outing!!!

Now were settled in and waiting for the "Storm of The Century" to hit and watching old movies....

Baked chicken and sweet potato fries (oven baked of course) for dinner & eggnog's for our "dessert" LOL~ we just finished up "An Affair To Remember" I didn't think Mr. P would sit through the entire thing without snoozing but he managed to watch it, I cried always do! I'm just a sucker for romance, next up "Christmas Vacation" ...

Are These Platt "Children" Are Spoiled.......?

I have to say that we are in a deep freeeeezzzzzeeeee here in Old New England! Tonight it is only going to be 10 degrees with winds gusts up to 45-50 MPH HOLY COW.....which brings me to the title of tonight's blog!!!!!

Last night is was 9 degrees with sustained wind gusts of 50 MPH ~ Max wouldn't even peep his head outside ~ TOOO COLD MAMA NOT GOING OUT THERE ~ he's almost 10 so that's about almost 70 in dogie years & Ms. Bailey Platt well she's just silly DOES NOT CARE!

This is how they settled in for the night.....

Max my old man....he is like a big bear so full & fury but he does not like to be cold, so we got out the Noah's Ark woobie and he settled in ~ shhhhhhhhhhh!

And, Ms. B ~ Relaxing in front of the fireplace ~ she was watching me I was having my Thursday night glass of Port Wine, did I mention she's a wine-o?????


Life is good at the moment for Little Ms. Bailey P ~ snuggy, piggy, fire ~ CHECK!!!

Oh, by the way.....we are going to be hit with a blizzard here on Saturday night into Sunday when all is said & done 10 - 13 inches of that white stuff ~ GRRRRRRRR!

Need to get to the market to get the milk & bread, LOL!!!!

I had that silly song stuck in my head this afternoon & well don't you know that I just had to make a pizza when I got in from work tonight! MMMMMMM ~ onions, tomatoes & loads of garlic, basil & oregano, fat free feta cheese & reduced fat mozzarella (hey ladies let us not forget I have a big wedding this fall & I do not want to look like a beach ball, LOL) so I didn't feel so guilty whilst enjoying my slice of pie.....

Well this little runt (see below) is back to normal and here are some "snaps" to prove it!!!!!!!!



I stayed home for a bit this morning to see Billy on the local news, his Holiday Greeting aired today on our local news station....and yes, I CRIED. He watched from Okinawa too, he's taking the "Oki 500" drive 500 miles & attend Humvee classes and get your license to drive a Humvee ~ he's almost there & so excited!!! Well anyway, see I get off track very easily, he had some down time and went into the shoppette on his break and logged onto a buddies laptop (nice to have friends all over the base!) and brought up the Turnto10.com website and watched live ~ what a kid...said (he called me to make sure I knew it was on) he wasn't missing his hometown debut, LOL! Ahh, I love and miss that kid so much... here are a few pics of Billy and a few of his buddies out in Kintown he was so excited because he was the driver, 1st time driving in Okinawa off base!!!

Anyway back to what I was saying....after the news was over I went off to get ready for work and don't you know Little Miss B was up to her old tricks! I could hear her scampering all around the downstairs, so I crept down to investigate and this is what I found!





BAIIIIIIIILEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ~ WHY DO YOU DO THESE THINGS??????? Yikes! Socks, towels, one glove, the other is missing in action????? My cute little snowman todo-list pad :/ WHAT A BAD GIRL!

Oh well, the picture doesn't do it or her justice, she just has the cutest little face that I cant' help but laugh. I know I shouldn't but I can't help it!

Christmas Cookies......

Nikky & Mike came by today and we baked Christmas Cookies....I really wasn't up to it, I was going to try and cheat and make the "slice & bakes"! Nikky wouldn't let me, THANKS NIK :) We made (actually Nikky did most of the work, I cleaned up behind her) chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter & chocolate chocolate chip, mmmmmmmm!

The men watched the football game and snuck a cookie here & there (I forgot to snap a pic, see I told you I'm just not myself)

I made a delicious chicken noodle soup too, we had that for lunch ~ it was hot & yummy & warmed us up. It's chilly & rainy here today!

I must say I got quite a bit accomplished this weekend and now I'm exhausted...this week wrap the gifts & I'm done ~ YAHOOOOOO!!
