Happy Mother's Day.......

Happy Mother's Day to all of you! I hope that YOUR day was special and filled with lots of laughter & love!

We had a nice day, Mr. P gave me a beautiful Pandora Bracelet, with a few very special charms just waiting for me!! I have been wanting one of these for such a long time, the best part is ~ HE THOUGHT OF IT ALL BY HIMSELF!!!!



Mr. P picked out the N & B charms for Nikky & Billy, their birthstones, both are amethyst for February & the spacer is little hearts in pearl which is Mr. P's birthstone he was a June baby! I cried :/ Nikky & Mike gave me the sweet little purse, so cute I love it!!

We had a nice dinner together & chatted quite a bit!

Billy called me early this morning to wish me a Happy Mother's Day ~ I cried, he laughed!! He has a ship date WOOT WOOT!!!! June 25th Japan time, so he should be here either very very late the 25th our time or very very early the 26th.....I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON THAT MARINE!!!! His stuffed is being packed by TMO and will be shipped to California by the end of the week!!!! He leaves for Guam on Wednesday and spent Saturday getting things in order, they had to buy new khaki's & polo shirts, no tee's, jeans or shorts on this trip! They were told they were to "Look Sharp Ladies" :) He had a few more ribbons that he had to purchase for his dress blues, they have to dress their uniforms tonight as the Sgt. Major will be inspecting them before they are allowed to pack them.

One more wish on this Mother's Day ~ Happy Birthday to Theresa, many many more!

Cindy & Julie, I know that you are missing your sons today ~ know that we are praying for their protection and their safe return! Happy Mother's Day my Marine Mom Sisters ` OOH-RAH!!!!!

Final Salute........

It was requested of General James T. Conway, Commandant of the United States Marine Corps that the Marine Forces Pacific provide support and full military honors for Sgt. John Gerber (ret.), his funeral will be in Guam.

Sgt. Gerber served with the 3rd Marine Division in the Vietnam War. He also founded the Pacific War Museum which contained his personal collection of WWII memorabilia. He was dedicated to the United States Marines and to the Veterans of Guam. The Commandant has granted a funeral with full military honors.

You are probably asking yourselves "why is she telling us all of this"....because Billy was asked to serve as an Honor Guard, he will be part of the rifle party firing the volley salute. His friend Brian will serve as pallbearer. These two honorable young men had all they could do to hold back the tears while trying to tell us (Mr. P & me and Brian's mother & father ~ she and I talk regularly). They feel so proud to have been asked and are so happy to be a prat of something so monumental. The funeral will be held on Saturday May, 15th, they were told to expect a lot of press but to keep their "EYES FORWARD" ~ they are there to honor a fellow Marine!

They leave Wednesday for Guam, they will be there for five days. During this time they will be given Liberty but are to remain with their "team", they will be able to take in a few sights, so they are packing their cameras.

We couldn't be more proud of the young man that Billy has become, I only wish that I could see him in his full dress blues, he will be so handsome.

Godspeed my little man, safe travels, we are so proud of you!

Mr. P Has Had TOOOOOO Much Coffee....

Yikes, Mr. P figured out how to use the Keurig Coffee Maker, he's been brewing coffees all day long....he was buzzing all about the place when I got in tonight!

Said he felt like he was at Starbucks ~ what a nut!

He has to be up early tomorrow so I hope his caffeine induced high doesn't keep him up all night!

Now, about that nasty shopping habit I have....he'll be going back to work Sunday night & GALS LET ME TELL YOU THE GLOVES ARE OFF!!!! Shop till you drop baby :)

I got Mike the cutest "shower gift" just for him...I'd tell you what it is but he sneaks on and reads from time to time...let's just say that that guy loves to cook, and I hope he loves it!!!

Hi Honey I Made Dinner For You......

Ahhhhhh, music to my ears ~ Thank you so much Mr. P!!!!!

Turkey Burgers and a nice big salad, and it was yummy!!!!!





Cleaned the kitchen, ironed my clothes for tomorrow & now I'm off to read & spend time with my furry friends & Mr. P!

Wore Red for OUR MARINES & all of our military today & my "Proud Marine Mom" pin ~ OOH-RAH!

We Interrupt This Shopping Spree for Mr. Ps Vacation….

Oh Lord, please help me to be good....Mr. P is home and has intercepted three count them three packages from my good friend Mr. UPS man!!!! What's a girl to do??? PLEASE DON'T SAY STOP YOUR SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!

He is enjoying himself tremendously, it's turkey season so he's been out twice already hoping to bag a big ole' Tom...he got one last year, i tried it pretty good! He spent the afternoon in his "workshop" crafting quivers and new arrows ~ that is until that UPS man rang the bell!

Ms. B went for a swim and a short walk, her leg is getting stronger every day. She just needs to SLOW DOWN & learn to trust it!!



It's Marine Week Boston OOH-RAH!!!!! We're hoping to get there weather permitting Friday or Saturday!! Nikky & Mike are at Fenway Park tonight to see the Red Sox, she called me earlier to say that there were SO MANY MARINES EVERYWHERE :) her exact words were "I kept hoping one of them would be Billy" me too sweet girl, me too!!!

Tomorrow is RED Wednesday ~ so please remember to wear your red shirts in honor & support of our Marines & all of our military!!!

Flowers Are Planted.....

Mr. P spent the day Saturday building flower boxes, he did a great job, they are so nice. We spent the day yesterday planting & doing yard work....

My post wouldn't be complete without a few pictures of my Ms. B...enjoying her bowl of ice water ~ just a bit spoiled :) & relaxing in the afternoon sun with her Pink (stinky) Piggy....they go everywhere together....

A Day With The Bride-To-Be & Her Maid of Honor.....

I spent the day today with Nikky & Krissi....they are so precious!

We did take pictures but they are on Nikky's iPhone, silly ones :)

We tried on the gown, the headpiece, the shoes & her daddy, the hard-working Mr. P came in to sneak a peep...he peeped in and ran right back out....told me later he "couldn't look at her, broke his heart" ~ I think that's a good thing, quite possibly a daddy/daughter thing! He thinks he'll be an emotional train wreck the day of the wedding :/

After the fashion show we ran out to lunch..



MMMMMM, I had a delicious Greek Salad ~ so yummy!

After that it was off to AC Moore to check out the silk flowers, I am making the center pieces. Nikky loves the color orange so the center pieces will be an assortment of orange flowers with some greenery, we'll be filling the vases with beach sand! Should be pretty, I'll post a picture once I have one done!



Mr. P made me flower boxes today, I'll share the pictures with you tomorrow once we have had a chance to plant all of the flowers we'll be going out for in a bit!

Billy called :) :) :) :) :) :) ~ he turns in all of his paperwork this week so with any luck we'll have a definite ship date VERY SOON!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY HANDS ON HIM!!!!!

Oh, yes I SHOPPED TILL I DROPPED or rather drifted off into a very restful much needed sleep!!!! Mr. UPS MAN please don't come when MR. P. is home!!!! PLEASE!!!!
